NABJ Black News & Views is a destination site for the best journalism on issues that affect the Black community in the United States and the world. We feature original work from a team of contributors and members of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), as well as journalism from more than 30 partners, including the Associated Press, The Wall Street Journal and Mother Jones. We also are part of AP StoryShare, a network of Black-owned news organizations who share work with one another. NABJ launched BNV in the summer of 2022. 

Melanie Eversley is NABJ Black News & Views’ executive editor. She has covered the 2020 presidential race for Fortune, breaking news and race for USA Today, and Congressional delegations for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Detroit Free Press. She also has bylines with BET.com, The Grio and The Root. She is a native New Yorker with degrees from Columbia Journalism School and Oberlin College.

Amber Hudson is NABJ Black News & Views’ administrative coordinator and graphics editor. She is a graduate of the University of Rochester and Syracuse University in New York. She has experience with project management, managing budgets and organization as she has served as the business manager for many organizations and worked most of her career in advertising developing and executing digital campaigns. She is passionate about all things design, beauty and fashion.
