A battle over intellectual property rights is brewing in a Denver school --
with its own students
Four Black students from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Early College in Denver have been producing a podcast, “Know Justice, Know Peace,” ever since they traveled to the nation’s capital to visit the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture in 2020.
They were shocked to learn how little they know about their own history and decided to do something about it.
But what was applauded by teachers and classmates is at the heart of a debate as to who actually owns the podcast and its name.
Earlier this year, the four young women won the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Business Award for their podcast.
