NICTD board eyes busy construction season as Double Track, West Lake projects are readied to begin

New bids for the largest part of NICTD’s $491 million Double Track project between Gary and Michigan City will be opened Oct. 11, and construction will begin next spring if the winning bid fits in the project’s budget.
