Now playing through Dec. 12 at Chicago’s Raven Theatre, Joshua Allen’s “The Last Pair of Earlies,” so masterfully directed by Wardell Julius Clark, is a new two-hour drama following the hardships and hopes of a young couple, Wayland and Della Rose Early, as they chase their dreams which takes them from the 1920s of the Old South to the 1939 era of close-nit neighborhoods of the South Side of Chicago.
