Jeanette Giragos, who died at age 82 on Oct. 24, was remembered at a memorial service this week. She was the wife of the late Dr. Henry G. Giragos, who died at age 78 in 2013 and was a medical pioneer as a top cardiovascular surgeon at Community Hospital in Munster. She was a fundraiser for the East Chicago Medical Auxiliary, and on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Association of the Northwest Indiana Symphony Society and NWI Parkinsons, Inc.
