The HBCU Week Foundation in Wilmington, Del., is helping high school students get a taste of the HBCU homecoming experience.

From Sept. 26 to Oct. 3, the foundation will host students of color and their parents at a concert, a comedy show featuring Wanda Sykes, a graduate of HBCU Hampton University, a battle of the bands and, of course, a college fair.

“Our goal with HBCU Week is to provide Black and Brown students the chance to experience what life is like at an HBCU, a clear path to enrollment, scholarships and the connections to confidently own their power throughout their careers,” said Ashley Christopher, HBCU Week Foundation founder and CEO.

The social events will b live but the college fair will be virtual. More information is available at hbcuweek.org/events/.
