MINNEAPOLIS — Even though Black American women continue to soar in terms of educational attainment, scary numbers from the federal government are circulating about them losing their jobs by the hundreds of thousands. Experts blame the attack on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and on Black women leaving toxic, racist workplaces that feel unsafe.
But while others have talked about this dynamic, Sheletta Brundidge decided to do something, planning a massive job fair from scratch that attracted 500 unemployed Black women and helped them land jobs.
