The family of a Black California teen last seen on Friday is asking for the public’s help in finding her.
Tymeah James, 16, was spotted at Hiram Johnson High School at noon Friday but she did not come home, her mother, Yolanda Holmes, told the Sacramento Bee. Calls to the teen’s phone are going straight to voicemail, the Bee reports. A Walmart employee said they saw the girl on a self-checkout line. According to another report, the girl was sen getting into a black car near a Starbucks.
“This is not like my daughter,” Holmes said. “She is a straight A student. She works, she goes to school, she’s on the cheer team and she praises our church.”
Holmes said she feels authorities are not doing everything they can to find Tymeah.
