Breast cancer and Black women: A deeper look.
Breast cancer is a life changing diagnosis, but for Black women, the disease presents even more of a challenge. The death rate for Black women from breast cancer is 41 percent higher than that of white women, and among young women, the death rate is double for those who are Black, according to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
