Federal prosecutors have launched a grand jury investigation into a former Kansas City, Kansas, police detective who allegedly used his badge to rape and abuse Black women.

Retiree Roger Golubski, 69, is charged with exploiting Black women for sexual favors and forcing some of them to offer fabricated testimony to clear his cases, the Kansas City Star reports.

Neither the U.S. Attorney’s office in Kansas City nor Golubski’s lawyer are confirming or commenting on the investigation against Golubski, whose alleged exploits have been the subject of Star journalism investigations for years.
