Registered Nurse Sandra Lindsay, who became the first person in the United States to get the COVID-19 vaccine back in December, received her booster shot this week in Queens, N.Y.

Lindsay, who is Black, is an intensive care unit nurse at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens. In receiving her Pfizer booster shot, she was joined by Dr. Yves Duroseau of Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan and Nurse Practitioner Elyse Isopo of North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., WABC Television reports.

“Today signifies another chapter in the fight against this deadly virus,” Lindsay said. “When I decided to take the vaccine in the first place I was committed to be a part of the solution and I’m still committed.”
