When Lamar Jackson was entering the NFL Draft, some said he needed to switch
positions on the football field. It was suggested that he switch from quarterback to wide
receiver and pursue an NFL career that way. Fortunately, Jackson did not listen and
remained at quarterback. Jackson would end up being drafted with the last pick in the
2018 NFL 1st round, number 32, by the Baltimore Ravens.
Jackson did not start immediately upon arriving in Baltimore and instead served as the backup to veteran quarterback Joe Flacco. But when Jackson started on Nov. 18, 2018, he helped the Ravens go on a run and make the playoffs.

From there, the team was Jackon’s team as the Ravens traded Flacco to the
Denver Broncos in the 2019 offseason. Jackson repaid the Ravens organization’s trust
with dazzling play, throwing and running the football. And by Nov. 25, 2019, Jackson
became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,500
yards in his first two seasons.
On the same day Jackson made this achievement, he led the Ravens to a 45-6 win over the Los Angeles Rams.
