WATCH: New Jersey community among many who organized ‘Hands Off’ protests against DOGE, Trump

TEANECK, New Jersey — From Seattle to Manhattan, crowds gathered to protest the Trump administration’s aggressive tactics against diversity, equity, and inclusion, safety net institutions like the Department of Health and Social Security, and widespread cuts by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

The protests were dubbed “Hands Off,” and while many in Black America have vowed to sit out the current protests out of the belief that people of other backgrounds reneged on promises to vote for Democrat Kamala Harris in the White House race, Black Americans in the end did come out in diverse communities like Teaneck, New Jersey, a suburb of New York City.
