CHARLOTTE — Days after authorities in Memphis, Tennessee, released videos of a Black man being brutally beaten by the police, WSOC-TV journalist Ken Lemon spoke to a group of local officers about the need for a change in policing. They discussed the deep — sometimes tense — relationship between the police and race, which is a reality that people in front of and behind the badge face.
