Many players have figured out ways to be durable and keep themselves active on the court. That’s a factor that the public often does not consider when it comes to athlete productivity.

NBA star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was always there for his team, whether it was the Milwaukee Bucks or the Los Angeles Lakers, putting up buckets and coming through with rebounds on the defensive end. They never really could get him out of the lineup, so the result on Feb. 23, 1986, was that Abdul-Jabbar passed fellow NBA superstar Elvin Hayes in most games played with 1304 games as the Lakers defeated Philadelphia 117-111.
