The 2003 NBA Draft is considered one of the most memorable.
Forward LeBron James, forward Chris Bosh and guard Dwyane Wade were in this draft and many mention them among the elite of this class. These three even played with each other and won multiple titles both together and separate. All three are Hall of Famers, but while they get the limelight, there’s one other star that does not get the mention he deserves.
With the third pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, the Denver Nuggets selected forward Carmelo Anthony. He was a dynamic scorer in college and led Syracuse to a collegiate championship, In the pros, his scoring picked up right where it left off.

Anthony was dynamic in the post, solid in the fast break and could carry teams offensively. Unfortunately, he did not have the type of winning success as Wade, Bosh, and James. And it was because of that, he was not regarded as a superstar, but he did make some things happen over his career with multiple teams. One of those career highlights happened on Jan. 27, 2018, when Anthony hit a free throw in the third quarter versus the Detroit Pistons. The free throw would help Anthony become the 21st player in NBA history with 25,000 career points.
