Sports history in Black: Football Hall of Famer celebrates a birthday

Tim Brown had an incredible football career. He was the 1987 Heisman Trophy winner. He was the first wide receiver to win the award and would eventually get drafted as the sixth overall pick in the 1988 draft by the Oakland Raiders, where he would spend his career minus one year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004.

Brown was a nine-time Pro Bowler, two-time second-team All-Pro and also was the co-leader in receptions for the 1997 season. And On July 22, Brown was born in Dallas, Texas.
