SPORTS HISTORY IN BLACK: LeBron James announces return to Cleveland

NBA forward LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer of 2010, but for good reason. The organization failed to build a team around him that could win a title. So, he headed to Miami and competed for four years with the Miami Heat, appearing in four NBA Finals and winning two titles over that span of time. But eventually, all good things come to an end.

After those Miami years, James decided it was time to revisit an earlier goal: bring a title to Cleveland. And on July 11, 2014, he set out to do that again, announcing via a Sports Illustrated article that he was going to return to the Cavaliers to pursue that championship he talked about bringing to the city.
