Sports history in Black: Ernie Banks

Sept 20- Ernie Banks is widely known for his phrase “Let’s Play Two” in Major League Baseball. While that phrase is popular, Banks also made history with the Chicago Cubs, becoming the team’s first Black player on this day in 1953. And on this day in history in that same year, he hit his first homerun of his illustrious Hall Of Fame career.
