Bonds, the son of former Major League Baseball player Bobby Bonds, was highly touted
coming out of Arizona State University. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates as the
sixth overall pick in the 1985 draft. And on May 30, 1986, Bonds would make his Major League Baseball debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Amazing the career he had and the longevity he had too playing more than 20 seasons.
