SPORTS HISTORY IN BLACK: Golden State Warriors make a comeback

The Oklahoma City Thunder were up three games to two versus the Golden State Warriors with forward Kevin Durant and guard Russell Westbrook leading the way. Things were looking very bleak for the Warriors, as some NBA analysts were already writing their obituary. But someone forgot to tell the Golden State Warriors.

On May 28, 2016, guard Klay Thompson hit 11 three-pointers on his way to leading the
Golden State Warriors to a 108-101 comeback win over the Thunder. The Warriors would go on to win Game 7, completing the comeback. Later, the Warriors would lose in the NBA Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers when Cleveland was down three games to one in the series. That offseason, Kevin Durant would join the Warriors after losing to them in the postseason.
