The Coronavirus pandemic caused the suspension of many in-person events, including the 2020 NBA Draft.
On November 18, 2020, the NBA held its first-ever virtual draft. And in that virtual draft, University of Georgia guard Anthony “Ant-Man” Edwards was the first overall pick taken by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
