Sports history in Black: Reggie Miller reaches NBA scoring milestone

Reggie Miller, a shooting guard with the Indiana Pacers, was one of the most lethal shooters of all-time. No one knows that better than the New York Knicks, who witnessed Miller score eight points in nine seconds to defeat them. This feat was punctuated with Miller giving the choke signal to die-hard Knicks fans, including award-winning film director Spike Lee.

Miller also haunted those who could not defend him, as he was running off screens and hitting nothing but net on his shots.

Miler starred for the Pacers for his entire NBA stint and scored plenty, but one day that was very important to his career was November 17, 2000. Miller would score 30 points in a 92- 90 loss to the Golden State Warriors. In that game, Miller would become the 25th player to score 20,000 career points in the NBA.
