August 25th– Sugar Ray Robinson was a great boxer at different levels, but in 1950, he made boxing history at the welterweight level. The talented boxer was defending his welterweight crown against Jose Basura when he knocked him out. The time he knocked Basura out in: 50 seconds. The first-round knockout would stand as the fastest knockout for 38 years.
