September 27- Syracuse lost in football to the University of Kansas but this wasn’t the biggest thing going on with the Syracuse football team. The Syracuse 8, which consisted of nine Black college football players at the school, decided they were going to boycott their home opener in 1970 against Kansas in order to further battle the discrimination they faced at Syracuse.
